This charming coffee shop at 46 Seminary Ave has quickly become a beloved local gem, blending a warm, inviting atmosphere with a menu designed to satisfy both coffee aficionados and hearty eaters alike.
The menu is a delightful mix of comforting breakfast staples and inventive lunch options. Start your morning with their renowned Breakfast Burrito, a savory, satisfying wrap that bursts with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Beverage-wise, their coffee is elevated with expert-crafted choices like the creamy Cappuccino with Caramel or the refreshingly smooth Iced Caramel Macchiato, perfect for a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon treat.
The menu doesn’t stop at meals — their starters and salads add fresh, flavorful variety. Indulge in the crunchy, house-made bagel chips accompanied by creamy homemade hummus or try a slice of their rotating selection of quiches. For lighter bites, the Wedge Salad and Cranberry Walnut Salad offer vibrant textures and tastes, dressed in balsamic vinaigrette and topped with goodies like avocado and toasted walnuts.

Customers appreciate not only the rich, flavorful coffee choices but also the perfectly crafted food that feels both homemade and thoughtfully prepared.
Visitors like Nicholas Romo share how the warm, family-run atmosphere makes every visit feel personal — their breakfasts come out quickly, and the generous portions never leave you wanting. Kate McCloe sums it up beautifully, calling it “a great neighborhood eatery” where prices, portions, and friendly service all come together to create a memorable experience. Even the practical touches, such as sturdy takeout containers that keep food intact despite minor mishaps, reflect the care given to every detail here.
While the surrounding neighborhood may initially raise an eyebrow, as noted by Ny Barber, the moment you step inside, you enter a sanctuary of warmth, quality, and genuine hospitality. For college students and locals alike, as Ides of March B mentions, it offers robust coffee options at accessible prices—making it a true community hub.
That Coffee Place is not just about coffee but about creating a welcoming space where exceptional food, well-crafted drinks, and heartfelt service come together. Whether grabbing a quick latte or savoring a full breakfast, this local favorite promises an experience that nourishes both body and soul.
We love this coffee place! It’s so nice and cozy, love that it’s nested right in the middle of a neighborhood, has a little bit of outdoor seating, and the staff is so friendly and kind. The lattes are delicious, lots of flavors, and the food is tasty as well. I had a breakfast burrito and it was delicious. Have had the baked goods as well and they are also delicious. There is a great selection. Parking is street parking but never a problem, there’s always a spot available nearby. My partner loves the real ceramic mugs.
Definitely a coffee shop geared toward college students. Decent coffee at a decent price
Would give this place a 5 star but honestly no one is really perfect and there’s always room for improvement even if you are perfect. With that said, this little coffee shop is absolutely a hidden gem in Binghamton NY!! Now driving to get there was a bit nerve wrecking. The surrounding area appeared to be a bit questionable. We pulled up and parked on the road. As soon as we stepped in, we were welcomed like we’ve been coming there for decades!!! The owners were unbelievably nice. They gave us a quick storyline of their coffee shop history. The shop had little gifts displayed for ones shopaholic’s addiction. They have mugs, clothing, holiday baskets, artwork and many more. It was so cute and quaint. The massive windows are definitely a nice thing to have when you are sitting at their table and enjoying the delicious food and hot coffee looking out to their neighborhood. The shop has a few patio tables outside and inside has two floors of tables to sit and relax. I ordered the To Bean or Not To Bean Burger - vegan. I’m not vegan but this was absolutely delicious. The burger was made so fresh. All the vegetables were amazing. Nothing was wilted. The spinach, mushrooms , guacamole, everything was fresh!!!! I loved it!!! My husband ordered the Ham Club Sandwich and he enjoyed it. My husband stated that the sandwich was such a large portion that he suggested cutting the sandwich in half and increase their profit lol. He said it was fantastic. Location was a bit off from the turnpike for us but for the locals it’s probably the best location since it’s around the school and student housing. Service was a little slower for our pace but it was so worth it. Seriously it was worth it. Staff/ owners were fabulous! Menu had a bit of something for everyone pallet. Prices were outstanding. I thought it was worth more but I’m also the type that would pay too dollar for great food. Cleanliness was good. Keep in mind they are going through the transitioning from their old location and the front is getting a facelift as soon as the weather cooperates. Overall my husband and I absolutely enjoyed the food, coffee, ambiance and definitely the love you feel when you’re there.
My/our expectations were truly exceeded with a breakfast stop here. The family operating this cafe are super friendly. Our breakfast was not only came out fast but tasted incredible. In an era of shrinking portions, we left very satisfied.
What a great neighborhood eatery. Great prices, food, portions, and friendly service as well. The best places are always off the beaten path. My breakfast burrito was delicious, my son ate his whole pancake, and my mom’s burger was fantastic too. Even the take out containers are brag worthy because my leftover burrito was dropped at least twice and it didn’t come out of the container or fall apart. I look forward to coming back!
First coffee shop I’ve tried in Binghamton and won’t be going anywhere else! The latte, mango smoothie and breakfast burrito etc. were 10/10. Highly recommend
